The American Memory Project of the Library of Congress offers a range of valuable primary sources:

WPA Slave former  narratives, slavery court documents from 1740-1860, and The African-American Pamphlet Collection, 1822-1909 with  396 pamphlet from various activists. Among the authors represented are Frederick Douglass, Kelly Miller, Charles Sumner, Mary Church Terrell, and Booker T. Washington.
