Samone Hicks

Brief Biographical Sketch

Ms. Samone Hicks, a performer, teacher, and song-writer from Sarasota, Florida, serves as an Instructor of Voice at Bethune Cookman University. She began teaching private voice lessons through Let’s Rock Sarasota before attaining the position of Adjunct Instructor at State College of Florida. Along with her teaching, Ms. Hicks was performing in theatre companies such as the Asolo Repertory Theatre and Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, and as a soloist in local venues. She has been a featured artist both in recording studios and live performances with groups such as Gloria Musicae, Strings con Brio, Soul Sensations, and Smalley Ministries. She has released her own music and has contributed as a writer/arranger on projects for other local artists.
Ms. Hicks holds a Master of Music from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Music from Stetson University.
