Shawna F. Brooks is the Activity Director of the Transdisciplinary Data Scholars Development Program at Bethune-Cookman University. Ms. Brooks graduated with a Bachelor in Biology Education from Bethune-Cookman University before graduating with a MAT in Broad Field Science Education from Georgia State University.
Ms. Brooks has worked as a science educator for eight years, teaching high school Biology, Genetics, Forensic Science, and Environmental Science. Ms. Brooks then went on to teach and coordinate AP Biology abroad in the UAE. Her passion for education has brought her back to her alma mater, where she is able to facilitate learning opportunities and success for all learners. The Transdisciplinary Data Scholars Development Program is an academic and career development program designed as a multi-stage expertise development approach to address challenges within data science.
